Godspell and more…

After an incredibly fulfilling time in the Mutt House, my end of summer/fall is shaping up to be quite busy as well. In the last two weeks of August, I had an all-too brief weekend getaway to Palm Springs, played a last-minute song with the fantastic Domonique Paton at Broadway Sings Disney at the Rockwell (check my IG for a snippet…), and played the University of La Verne’s new student Orientation with the Time Bandits. Before the month is over, I’ll also be playing with my good friend Oliver Heimach for the release party of his first single, “Saturday Morning Cartoons,” a tune that’s as much fun as its name suggests.

As the calendar switches to September, I’ll be playing another Disney Night at Rockwell with my buddy Trent Mills (following February’s super fun take on “Man or Muppet”), then entering rehearsals for a three-night stand of Godspell. It’s a fundraiser for the Episcopal Church, with one performance in San Diego, one in LA, and one in Santa Barbara. The day after the Santa Barbara show, I’ll be playing two Rosh Hashanah services at Open Temple in Venice.  Whew. Throw in a couple of days’ worth of Yom Kippur services and a TBA Oliver Heimach show, and that all adds up to one busy month!
