Burroughs Heats Up, Carner and Gregor’s Techies

Catching a semi-red-eye flight to New York first thing Monday morning. Takes off at 5:30 am out of LAX (and I lose an hour from Daylight Saving Time…) and I have a rehearsal that evening. Playing the first two concert performances of Sam Carner and Derek Gregor’s new musical Techies at the Duplex Cabaret and Piano Bar in the Village. Very excited to have a jam-packed week of rehearsals, recording sessions, performances, and catching up with friends in the Big Apple.

John Burroughs High School’s 40th Annual Pop Show was a rousing success as well. There were fiery performances all around, literally true in the case of Powerhouse, who used cold fireworks during their set. It was a pretty great feeling to see pyro going off onstage right in front of me during a guitar solo. Below are a couple of videos from the show.

Much more is coming later this year, including a few musicals in the LA area. Very excited to get to work on those, in addition to several other live and recorded projects over the next few months.
