A busy September is followed by an even busier October! 18 shows this month, by my count, spanning a variety of styles and projects. The View Upstairs continues every Thursday-Sunday at Celebration Theatre, although I won’t be there October 12-15th or 26th. I love playing for this show, and getting to be an Associate MD for such an awesome production!
I’m missing a week of shows there to return to my usual post as guitarist for Burroughs on Broadway, the fall show for John Burroughs High School’s world-renowned Show Choirs. This show is always a fun, exciting challenge, with 40+ musical theater tunes to learn. The kids always bring it, and then some, so I need to put some time in the woodshed to make sure I can keep up.
After BoB, my favorite East Coast collaborators Selda Sahin and Derek Gregor are in town for another show at the Rockwell. Eric Krop is on the bill as well, and it promises to be a night filled with awesome tunes and performances from some of LA’s (and NYC’s) finest singers, songwriters, and musicians.
Rounding out the month is a Halloween-themed show with the Time Bandits at The Lexington Bar in Downtown LA. Love love LOVE playing with these dudes, and we’ve got some fun seasonal surprises in store for you. No cover charge for this one either, so don’t miss out!
